Want to make my first cannon

Hey,
I just got back from a burn and I cant take it anymore....I have to have a fire cannon..I think I have the basic idea of how to make one but I dont want to blow myself up one the first try!! so if any one can help out I want to make a propane cannon that can make a good flame out of the top like 20 feet or so
