I've been working on a sculpture for about a year - did a prototype of it at BM07 but i didn't have time to add the fire elements I was hoping for...
I'm curious what I'd need for a basic flame cannon setup that serves most of the time as just a torch - it would be coming out of the top of a 13ft tall steel tree - kind of like a giant candle until you hit the trigger. I'm not looking to scorch the moon, just have a nice little blast to make the kiddies jump.
i'm not sure what kind of regulating valves I need to control the propane...

Re: new to fire art...
Mon, March 3, 2008 - 4:50 PMSounds like you need a Weed Burner. Like a tiki torch most of the time, and a (relatively tame by Playa standards) blast of flame when you hit the trigger. This would be the easiest way to go, as you can use it right off the shelf. Will work with 20 pound propane tank. Try your local farm supply store, or flame engineering.com
