Hello All!
Just found out that I will actually be attending the burn this year! Thought that this was going to be the first year I missed (since I started in '01) since we just had a baby (!!!) but I was given a ticket for my 30th by my loving wife and friends... looks like I'll be there!
Anyhoo... I am going to modify my poofer (based around a 1" dc valve that in it's current version gives a helluva bang!) to create some more elaborate effects and drag it along behind my bike. Now I need to acquire a few more solenoids and I cant remember what the material is that the seal needs to be made from to resist breaking down from the propane. Since I will be dragging this thing around this year i want to make damn sure that is is as safe as possible. Anyone remember what that material is?

Tue, May 6, 2008 - 11:55 PMSometimes you'll see Buna-N referred to as "NBR" (N-Buna Rubber). PTFE (aka teflon) is also fine with propane. EPDM is not. -
